Feeling stuck? It is so important that you remember the body is on various time tables. It is possible to not lose weight for 3 months while your body adjusts to the new lifestyle you have created. If you write your weight once a week on the calendar it is easier to track time.

I read this in "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne and wanted to share this tip with you. If you insist on using a scale, write your ideal weight on a small piece of paper and tape it over the numbers you read on your scale. Everytime you get on the scale, your brain will register the weight you "are" and make it so. It worked for me !!

I admit it, "I'm dense" and I'd like to be even denser. I'm speaking in reference to my muscle mass of course. Muscles that are dense are calorie burning machines. Also, the denser you become - the more shapely (not bulky). All of that to say, it's time to add some weights to your workout, or bump up the weight you are currently working out with.

Please stop drinking diet sodas! They have ZERO nutritional value, stain your teeth, and are loaded with chemicals that your body stores because it does not know what to do with them (hint - research is showing that these stored chemicals lead to cancers).
It would be better to switch to juice (watered down or with tons of ice) or 1/2 a can of regular soda over tons of ice - until the cravings pass. Then switch to water, mineral, natural flavored, or carbonated with a splash of juice for flavor and color if necessary.

OK - so I've received lot's of comments about water. Here is what I know. Every BODY is different. I do not feel it is right to state a specific daily amount of water that you should be drinking. I have read everything from "a gallon a day" to none because "you should be getting your daily water intake from fruits." So there you have it. Truth be told, you KNOW if you are getting enough water. Your skin looks great, you sleep well, you smell good, and you have an overall sense of well being. Nuff said.

OK, in the time it took to actually get my book on the shelves, a major correction occurred. In tip # I told you about how I like the Nike Free fitness shoe but I didn't like how the velcro strap would not stay put.
Well, since then Nike has come out with a whole line of Nike Free shoes in which they have either eliminated or improved the strap. So, I am now supporting them unconditionally!
