Imagination Island Meditation

 

Now, in this moment, gently close your eyes, and as you do so, notice how the lids of your eyes rest easily upon one another naturally. It is in its natural state of relaxation that they will remain for the rest of your meditation. If you find your eyes open, just remember the relaxed feeling of your eyes closed and allow them to return to closed as we now begin.

 

Starts by focusing on your breath. Keeping your mouth closed, breath in deeply through your nose, filling the lungs fully and then holding that fullness for a moment. Then, allow the breath to leave through your nose at a slow relaxed pace. Continue to do this for a few moments, concentrating on expanding your lungs with breath while being aware of how the silence feels inside at the brief moment of holding before you gently let the breath go.

 

Now, in this moment change your breath to a deep, meaningful inhalation that lasts 4 counts. And then, allow the breath to leave through the mouth at a relaxed pace for 8 counts. Continue this breathing pattern for a few more moments as you become centered, here and now.

 

As you begin your journey, with your eyes closed, use your mind’s eye to create the image you will be seeing and allow yourself to feel the pleasant emotion that come with your visions.

 

Imagine you are now crossing the ocean at any speed, by any way. Take a moment and enjoy your journey, seeing and feeling everything as you go. As you continue to travel, you begin to see the speck of an island on the horizon. As you draw closer, taking a deep breath, breathe in your islands smells. Exhale and approach your island now, again breathing in its beauty. As you exhale, step onto your island paradise, feeling a sense of renewal. After a time, you notice someone in the distance walking toward you. Although you can not yet see them, somehow you know them. And even at this distance you can feel the love and respect they have for you. When you become toe to toe with this person you know that they are your guide. They are here to show you the way. You embrace, and then look into each others eyes, and in that instant you see the truth of who you are.

 

Without words your guide begins walking and you know you were meant to follow, so you do. Continue in the silence to enjoy your journey to the heart of your island. Soon you begin to hear a waterfall, as you approach the fall, you and your guide have a seat. As you take in the multiple rainbows the falls are showing you, the guide removes a small pack from their back and hands you a cup. Your then go to the water, fill your cup and begin drinking deeply, savoring the coolness and flavor of this perfect drink. When you look back, you see your guide has brought your favorite snack. You smile and return to be seat next to your guide and begin enjoying your snack and letting your mind gently wander as you day dream in this place of serenity. Your attention return when your guide stands and you begin to travel toward the falls. When you reach the falls, your guide steps through easily and you follow. As you step through the veil of water it gently caresses you and washes way any tension or fear you may be holding. It feels good. You fell alive.

 

Then you completely step through to the other side and see why you have come here. Look at what you were meant to know. Hear it, see it, feel, it and breath it in, experiencing it as the truth of who you are. Now experience a moment of gratitude because many people live their entire lives never knowing…experiencing, what you now know about you and your purpose in this life. Take a moment and explore it deeper, engrain it, and become it.

 

You feel a hand on your should and you know it is time to leave. If you do not wish to go, it is only because you have forgotten that this is your island and you are welcome her anytime. You remember that to return, you simply need to close your eyes, take a few deep and meaningful breaths, and here you are again.

 

Now feel yourself floating, gently floating up and across the ocean until you see your self sitting here. Then bring your floating self down to settle in with your seated self. taking al the time you need, let your knowing become one and when that is down gently open you eyes and come back.
